Geiranger Camping We offer campspots for caravans, campers and tents, with and without electricity. On the grounds you will find service buildings with toilet, showers, kitchen facilities, and a modern laundry with washing machines and dryers. Wireless internet connection for all guests. Reception with a small convenience store. Open May 1. – September 30. There is a long shoreline and a small river running through the grounds. Fishing is permitted in the river and in the fjord. Rowing boats for hire. Marina with mooring for guests. At a distance of only 200 m, you find a supermarket, souvenir shops, cafes and restaurants, tourist information, and other services, including public transport. Boat trips and hiking are popular activities. Geiranger Fjordservice, see www.geirangerfjord.no, offers guided tours through the fjord. The campground is a good starting point for hikes. There is a number of marked trails and a map of these. The famous viewpiont Flydalsjuvet is located 4 km from the campground. The mountain peak Dalsnibba (1500 m) can be reached by car via a private toll road. The distance is 22 km. Geiranger is an excellent base for excursions. Within few hours one can reach the high mountains, the glaciers or the coastline with its many islands. Popular excursions are The Troll Road, Ålesund, Lom, Runde, and Briksdal Glacier.
